01Who we are

subsTrucker is a subscription tracker built and operated by [INSERT YOUR NAME OR COMPANY NAME] ("we", "us", "our"), based in [INSERT COUNTRY]. This policy describes how the subsTrucker mobile application ("the app") handles information when you use it.

We are the data controller for any data described below, though in practice — as you'll see — the app is designed so that no personal data ever reaches us.

02What data we handle

The app stores the following information that you enter — none of it is collected by us, transmitted to us, or shared with anyone else:

Subscription details

Names, amounts, currencies, billing cycles, renewal dates, categories, colors, icons, and any notes you add to each subscription.

App settings

Your default currency, default reminder lead time, theme preference, monthly budget, and notification preferences.

Cancellation history

The date you mark a subscription as cancelled, used to calculate your "savings" total.

We do not collect or have access to: your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos, bank or card information, financial transactions, browsing data, advertising IDs, or any device identifiers that could identify you personally.

03How and where data is stored

All the data listed above is stored locally on your device using your operating system's standard secure storage (AsyncStorage on iOS and Android, which is sandboxed to the app). It does not leave your device.

We do not operate any cloud servers, databases, or backend services that hold your data. There is nothing to log into, because there is no account.

If you choose to use the in-app Export feature, the app generates a JSON file representing your subscriptions and settings. That file is yours — you decide whether to copy, save, or share it. We never receive it.

04Notifications

The app schedules local notifications on your device to remind you before each subscription renews. These reminders are processed entirely by your device's operating system. The reminder content (e.g., "Netflix renews in 3 days") never leaves your device.

To register your device with Apple Push Notification service (APNs) or Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) — required by iOS and Android to deliver any notification at all — the operating system generates a device-specific token. This token is handled by Apple/Google, not by us. We do not store or transmit any payload through their servers.

05Permissions we request

The app requests only the permissions strictly required to function:

Notifications

To deliver renewal reminders. You can decline this and still use every other feature of the app.

The app does not request access to your contacts, location, photos, microphone, camera, calendar, health data, or any other sensitive permission.

06Third-party services

The app does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or marketing service.

The only third parties involved at all are:

• Apple (App Store distribution and APNs notification delivery on iOS)
• Google (Play Store distribution and FCM notification delivery on Android)

Your interactions with the App Store or Play Store itself are governed by Apple's and Google's privacy policies, not ours.

07Analytics & tracking

The app contains no analytics SDKs, no tracking pixels, no advertising identifiers, and no crash-reporting services that send data off the device. We do not know how many people use the app, which features are popular, or whether any specific user opens the app on any given day. We have intentionally chosen not to gather that information.

08Children's privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone — children included. Because the app stores no data on our servers, it does not "collect" personal information from children in the sense regulated by COPPA or similar laws.

09Data retention & deletion

Your data lives on your device for as long as you choose. To delete it, you have two equally complete options:

1. Open the app and tap Settings → Erase all data. This removes every subscription and resets every setting immediately.
2. Uninstall the app. Your operating system removes all locally stored data as part of the uninstall.

Either action is final and irreversible (we have no backups, because we have no servers).

10Your rights

Privacy laws in many jurisdictions (including the EU's GDPR, the UK's Data Protection Act, and California's CCPA) grant you specific rights over your personal data — to access it, correct it, delete it, port it, and object to its processing.

Because the app stores all your data on your own device and we hold none of it, you can exercise every one of these rights inside the app itself: you have full access (it is on your phone), full editing ability, instant deletion, and the export feature provides portability.

If you believe we are nonetheless processing your data and you wish to make a formal request, contact us using the details below and we will respond within 30 days.

11Changes to this policy

We may update this policy occasionally. When we do, we will update the "Effective" date at the top and, if changes are material, surface a notice in the app on next launch. The current version of this policy is always available at the URL where you found it.
